📖 “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time.” — 1 Peter 5:6 (NIV)
When Mordecai sat at the king’s gate, unrecognized and overlooked, he chose faithfulness over fame. He refused to bow to pride, even when Haman plotted against him. What looked like defeat became divine setup. God used the very gallows built for Mordecai’s destruction to display His justice.
The story of Mordecai reminds us that God’s timing is perfect. Just as Haman’s pride brought him low, God’s mighty hand lifted Mordecai up at the appointed time. This same truth echoes through the New Testament — Jesus Himself modeled humility, and God exalted Him above all.
When we remain steadfast and humble in the face of injustice or delay, we align with the same principle that raised Mordecai and glorified Christ.

“Lord, help me stay humble under Your mighty hand. Even when I’m unseen, let my heart remain faithful. I trust that in due time, You will lift me up and turn every scheme of the enemy into a testimony of Your glory. Amen.”
