God's Gift of Wisdom

Daniel 1:17 (ESV)

“As for these four youths, God gave them learning and skill in all literature and wisdom, and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.”

Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were taken into Babylon, far from home, culture, and comfort. 

Their excellence was a gift from God.

• God gave them learning

• God gave them skill

• God gave them wisdom

• God gave Daniel special spiritual understanding

They were disciplined and faithful but their success was not self-made. It was God-enabled.

As a student balancing school, motherhood, leadership, and faith this verse is a reminder:

📚 The ability to understand accounting, finance, leadership concepts…
🧠 The discipline to study late…
💡 The insight you receive when things suddenly “click”…

Those are not accidents.

God still gives learning.
God still gives wisdom.
God still gives understanding.

Just like He equipped Daniel in a foreign land, He equips you in classrooms, boardrooms, and life.

Short Prayer

Lord,
Just as You gave Daniel learning and understanding,
Give me wisdom in my studies, clarity in my thinking,
And favor in every place You send me.
Let my excellence reflect Your glory.
