Genesis 2
Genesis 2 reveals God as our Creator (Yahweh Elohim) Provider (Yahweh Jireh), Father, and Covenant Maker. He forms Adam from the dust, breathes life into him, plants Eden, creates Eve, and establishes the first marriage. Above all, the chapter points us to Jesus as our Sabbath Rest, the Giver of Life, the Tree of Life, the Bridegroom, the Better Adam, and the One who restores us to the Father.
We saw Jesus as:

What Does This Reveal About God's Heart?
He finishes what He starts.
He forms us with His own hands.
He breathes life into what is lifeless.
He provides before we ask.
He desires to dwell with His children.
The seventh day reminds us that God's work was complete. His rest wasn't because He was tired but because His work was finished. In the same way, Jesus finished the work of our salvation on the cross so that we can find true rest in Him.
This week also marks seven years since I came to America. As I reflect on that journey, I don't see perfection I see God's faithfulness. The number seven often symbolizes completeness in Scripture, and for me, this season is a reminder to pause and thank God for carrying me through every unknown, every challenge, every answered prayer, and every lesson.
I don't know what the next season holds, but I know the One who holds it. The God who has been faithful these past seven years will remain faithful in the years ahead.
As I step into my seventh year in America, I choose to remember the faithfulness of God.
Just as God blessed the seventh day because His work was complete, I believe He is still completing the good work He began in me.
I declare by faith:
I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. (Psalm 27:13)
The doors God has ordained will open.
The purpose He planted in me will flourish.
The seeds sown in tears will be reaped with joy.
The prayers whispered in secret will become testimonies spoken in public.
I will not be led by fear but by faith.
I will not grow weary in doing good.
The God who brought me this far will lead me into everything He has prepared for me.
My hope is in Christ, my rest is in Christ, and my future is in Christ.
"I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living." — Psalm 27:13
Come HomeIf you've been striving, carrying burdens you were never meant to bear, Jesus is still inviting you:
"Come to Me... and I will give you rest."
True rest isn't found in a place, a career, or an achievement. It is found in Christ alone.
Rest in His finished work.
Rest in His faithfulness.
Rest in His love.
